Century will be the Century for those who renew themselves and who can exceed limits

ADANA – The introduction meeting for Bahçeşehir College which will start education in the 2013-2014 academic year was held in Adana.

 

Bahçeşehir University Board of Trustees Chairman Enver Yücel who spoke in the ceremony which was held at the Hilton Hotel stated that the 21st Century will be the century for those who renew themselves and who can exceed limits. He claimed that the students who are in primary school will work for jobs which are currently not available. He continued by saying, “The new generation which was born to a digital world will not only need education in the future to be successful; but also they need to have high levels of creativity, communication, foreign languages and technology. In such a development, we – as the education professionals, have the highest responsibilities. Therefore, we are initiating a new paradigm in education, to be a good example to the world: A World University.” Yücel stated that they will have 35 campuses, more than 100 schools by October. He said that they announced 2013 as the year of Africa and that they established universities in Morocco, Tunisia and Libya.

 

In the program, Governer Hüseyin Avni Coş and Deputy Mayor Zihni Aldırmaz asked for establishing a campus in Adana. Enver Yücel stated that Çukurova University’s Energy Engineering program is among the best in the world in terms of biotechnology and agriculture and that they can implement a campus in Adana in 2014, if support can be provided.

 

Republic Attorney General Süleyman Bağrıyanık, Ministry of National Education Teacher Education and Development General Director Ömer Bağrıyanık, Adana Minister of National Education Mehmet Ali Selamet and several guests attended the ceremony.
