BAU and UNESCO Will Collaborate for Equal Opportunity in Education
Bahçeşehir University Board of Trustees Chairman, Enver Yücel, and UNESCO General Director, Irina Bokova, met in Paris. After meeting at UNESCO Headquarters, it was decided to sign a cooperation agreement between UNESCO and Bahçeşehir University in the fields of education and intercultural dialogue. The signing ceremony of the agreement between BAU and UNESCO and the first event will be held in July at UNESCO Headquarters, which is located in Paris. After the meeting, which was held in Istanbul in April, this time Bahçeşehir University Board of Trustees Chairman, Enver Yucel and UNESCO General Director, Irina Bokova met in Paris and decided to collaborate about future work and to a make co-operation agreement between Bahçeşehir University and UNESCO. During the meeting, by passing her thanks to Enver Yücel and to Bahçeşehir University for their contribution to peace and culture, Irina Bokova demonstrated the necessity of partnership development.

Enver Yücel was born in 1957 in Giresun and he studied at Hayarpaşa High School that was a boarding school. After he graduated from the Mathematics Department of the Atatürk Education Institute at Marmara University, which is now known as the Marmara University Faculty of Education.
