Education is the locomotive of Globalization
Mr Yücel emphasized that he had his education where there was no elementary school and it is a great honour for him to have this award from NYU. He also added, he is working with great professors who he would very much like to be with in future. He said, “Everything is being globalized. To sustain the success, education should be the locomotive. We all could live in peace if we could manage to realize global education, create common world citizens. This could only be possible by having every child receive this opportunity equally. I work for this in my country. The goal for me to establish the World Education Initiatives Association is to create a world citizenship. High quality education is the most important concept for this objective.”

Enver Yücel was born in 1957 in Giresun and he studied at Hayarpaşa High School that was a boarding school. After he graduated from the Mathematics Department of the Atatürk Education Institute at Marmara University, which is now known as the Marmara University Faculty of Education.
